Trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, a structured, research-supported approach for processing trauma.
Sixteen-plus years of walking alongside people through life's hardest chapters, with compassion, evidence, and a deep belief that care should be within reach for everyone.
For more than 16 years, Teresa Phillips has dedicated her career to helping individuals and families navigate life's challenges and discover pathways to healing. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, she has worked with clients ranging in age from 4 to 90, providing compassionate, evidence-based care that honors each person's unique experiences, strengths, and goals.
The vision for Affordable Behavioral Health grew from Teresa's firsthand experience witnessing the barriers many people face when seeking mental health services. Too often, people delay or forgo treatment because of cost, limited availability, or stigma. Teresa founded the practice with a commitment to changing that by providing accessible, high-quality services that meet people where they are.
Teresa believes that mental health care should be a right, not a privilege. Her goal is to ensure that individuals and families have access to affordable, quality behavioral health services that foster hope, healing, and lasting positive change.
Throughout her career, Teresa has developed extensive expertise in childhood trauma, family systems, substance use treatment, child welfare involvement, and family reunification.
She has worked closely with children, parents, foster families, and caregivers involved with DCBS and CPS, helping families strengthen relationships, develop healthy coping skills, and move toward stability and healing.
